CP-CA80-PECalcium Carbonate (CaCO₃) Compound

FAQ

Questions converters ask us.

  • What is a let-down ratio (LDR)?

The percentage of masterbatch added to natural polymer. At a 2% LDR, 2 kg of masterbatch is blended with 98 kg of resin to make 100 kg of finished compound.

  • How do I calculate the LDR for a target pigment level?

Divide the target active content by the masterbatch's active content. For 2.5% carbon black from a 40% masterbatch: 2.5 ÷ 40 = 6.25% LDR.

  • What does FPV tell me?

Filter pressure value (EN 13900-5) measures the pressure rise as melt passes a fine 14 μm screen. Lower values mean better dispersion, fewer screen changes and fewer specks in film.

  • Are your grades food-contact compliant?

MB-W70-PE complies with US FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and EU 10/2011, MB-ADD-SAB with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 & 178.3860, and CP-CA80-PE with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520. Declarations are available on request.

  • Can you match a competitor's grade or a physical sample?

Yes. Send the grade reference or a sample with your polymer and process. We match carrier, loading and shade, and send a lab plaque or sample for approval.

  • How is your masterbatch packed?

In 25 kg units: multi-wall kraft moisture-barrier bags, PE-lined kraft paper bags or laminated PP woven bags depending on the grade, palletised for dispatch.

Have a line trial coming up? Let's match the grade to it.

Send your polymer, process and target let-down. Our Rajkot lab confirms the grade and dispatches a sample or a 5 – 25 kg trial lot.
