CaCO₃ / Talc
Ultra-fine, stearic-coated calcium carbonate compounds reduce raw material cost, shorten cooling cycles thanks to better thermal conductivity, and add stiffness, all while keeping film tensile properties and surface quality intact.

FAQ
Filler masterbatch, also called a filler compound, carries a high loading of mineral filler, usually calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), in a polymer carrier. Converters add it to polyolefins to lower raw material cost and add stiffness. CP-CA80-PE holds 80% stearic-acid-coated CaCO₃ in a virgin LLDPE-based carrier.
From the CP-CA80-PE TDS: 15% – 45% in HDPE shopping and garbage bags, 8% – 25% in LLDPE/LDPE packaging film, 10% – 35% in injection-moulded housewares and 3% – 12% in PP woven sacks and raffia tapes.
Particle size and coating decide it. A 1.5 μm average, a top cut of 6 μm or less and a stearic acid coating keep thin films smooth and help prevent tape splitting, with ≤ 0.01% retained on a 45 μm mesh. Confirm your loading in a line trial.
Calcium carbonate conducts heat better than polyethylene, so filled melts set sooner and mould cycles shorten. Above 25% loading on blown film, raise the feed zone 5°C – 10°C and lower the die temperature slightly.
