Agri & Pipe
Fine 20 nm furnace carbon black, dispersed to ISO 18553 grade 2 or better, gives drip laterals, conduits and mulch films the UV protection and surface finish they need, with no screen-pack choking on long extrusion runs.

FAQ
Black masterbatch is a concentrate of carbon black in a carrier polymer. It colors plastics black and protects them from UV light. AdCol MB-BLK40-AG carries 40% furnace carbon black with a 20 nm primary particle size in an LLDPE/HDPE carrier.
A let-down of 5.0% – 6.25% of MB-BLK40-AG delivers 2.0% – 2.5% active carbon black in the pipe, the level AdCol's TDS gives for drip laterals to IS 12786 / ISO 4427. The working: 2.5% target ÷ 40% carbon black = 6.25%.
Undispersed carbon black leaves agglomerates that show up as surface defects, weak spots and rising screen-pack pressure. MB-BLK40-AG is rated ≤ 2 for dispersion per ISO 18553 and has a filter pressure value below 1.0 bar/g.
Yes. At 4.0% – 6.0% in 15 – 30 μm mulch film it gives more than 99.5% optical opacity for weed suppression, and 2.0% – 4.0% suits HDPE conduits. Keep bags sealed: carbon black is hygroscopic.
